SKU: Amaranthus Caudatus Red 1000 seeds
Amaranthus caudatus Green is a spectacular plant that produces long vivid Red tassels of flowers that hang down from the upright branches.
It is easy and quick to grow and reaches 75cm tall.
It gives an exotic looking appearance to a display and complements other more vibrant flowers, but looks equally well with pastel colours and more formal arrangements.
An exciting and unusual addition to the garden or a vase.
It can also be dried for 'everlasting' flowers.
How to grow:
Sow March - April under cover or April - May outside
Sow in full sun, well-drained/light, dry soil.
Sow seeds either March-April under cover in seed trays, lightly cover with soil (2mm deep) and keep at a temperature of 20°C. Prick out seedlings when large enough to handle and pot into small pots. When approx 9cm tall, harden off and plant out after last frosts at a spacing of 40cm. Alternatively direct sow into flowering position in April-May. Keep soil damp but don't overwater.
Keep weed free and water in very dry spells. Branches may need support if they become too heavy.
Average seed content 1000 per pack
